New — Integrated EHR

SimDoc Pro™ EHR: Realistic Electronic Charting for ISBARR Simulation

SimPhone Pro™ now includes SimDoc Pro™ EHR — a fully integrated, simulated electronic health record. Students review charts, interpret vitals and labs, and document care in a realistic EHR, then make the AI-scored ISBARR provider call. One platform, the complete clinical communication workflow.

What Is SimDoc Pro™ EHR?

SimDoc Pro™ EHR is a simulated electronic health record built directly into the SimPhone Pro™ clinical communication platform. Instead of handing students a paper chart before an ISBARR provider call, faculty give them what they will actually use in practice: an electronic record with patient demographics, medical history, trending vital signs, laboratory results with reference ranges, a medication administration record, and nursing documentation.

The workflow mirrors a real shift. Students open the chart in SimDoc Pro™ EHR, review the data, form a clinical judgment, and then initiate the provider communication inside SimPhone Pro™ — where AI scores all six ISBARR components and faculty respond live as the provider. After the call, students document the interaction and any new orders back into the EHR, completing the full clinical loop.

Everything a Real EHR Has — Built for Learning

Every SimDoc Pro™ EHR component is faculty-editable and designed around the ISBARR communication workflow.

Multi-System Flowsheet

Document across nine body systems — vital signs, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, GI/GU, intake & output, pain, skin, and IV access — exactly as students will chart on a real shift.

eMAR — Medication Administration

A full electronic medication administration record for scheduled and PRN medications, tracking meds given and held with safe medication reasoning built in.

Diagnostics — Labs & Imaging

Laboratory and imaging results with reference ranges and abnormal-value flags, so students learn to identify and report clinically significant findings.

Medication Reconciliation

A dedicated Med Rec workflow where students compare home and transfer medications against current scenario orders — a core patient safety skill.

SmartPhrase Documentation

Notes and shift assessments with EHR-style SmartPhrases — .vitals, .assess, .pain, .sbar, and more — that auto-expand into structured documentation.

AI Patient Chat

Students hold a realistic, AI-powered dialogue with the simulated patient or a family member, building therapeutic communication before the provider call.

Clinical Decision Support

Live allergy and safety alerts — like a severe medication allergy warning — prompt students to verify all orders and medications before acting.

Care Team & Interprofessional Calls

Students call providers and interprofessional departments — Respiratory Therapy, Social Work, Radiology, and more — directly from the EHR care team tab, then complete the live, AI-scored ISBARR call.

Care Plan, Shift Report & PDF Download

Build the nursing care plan, hand off with a structured shift report, and download the completed patient chart as a PDF — every entry, med, and note signed.

Adaptive Patient Scenarios

Dynamic patient data delivers realistic scenario variations based on the acuity and unit-specific needs of each assigned patient — the same chart adapts to different learner levels.

Faculty Student-View Preview

Faculty inspect the student's exact EHR interface and documentation progress in real time, and can edit any chart field on the fly — labs, respiratory support, status orders — to test adaptability mid-scenario.

Weekly Reports & Analytics

A dedicated analytics tab gives faculty a bird's-eye view of cohort performance, session completion rates, and average ISBARR scores — with faculty overrides on any AI-generated score.
