While most nursing programs teach ISBARR in lecture and through written case studies, students consistently arrive at clinical rotations without having practiced a realistic, real-time handoff call under pressure. SimPhone Pro™ was created to close this gap: providing a web-based ISBARR simulation environment where students practice structured provider communications with AI-scored feedback on every component.

The platform was designed by Dr. Traci Ryan Grove, DNP, RN, CHSE, CHSOS — a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator with over 15 years of nursing education experience who recognized firsthand that students needed far more ISBARR practice than faculty-led roleplay could provide at scale. Every feature of SimPhone Pro™ reflects real clinical workflow: multi-patient census management, realistic provider communication, live faculty monitoring, and AI-driven assessment that evaluates each of the six ISBARR components — Introduction, Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation, and Read-back — at session end.
